I knew that I would be slammed with Christmas preparations and running after The Hubs, so I am not sure what made me think that signing up for the IHSW was a good idea. While I finished all the cards, wrapping and baking, I did not put one stitch into anything. I did pull the fabric and threads for a biscornu for the in-laws and should have that finished before next Christmas. While I finished making the cards and got them all signed and into envelopes, I only mailed out about half of them - my address list is on my computer at work who thought that keeping the most current copy there was such a good idea??!!?!? and we had major connectivity issues all day long. I think I'm just going to tell folks that I'm NOT late for 2012, I'm very early for 2013!
Thank you all again for the good wishes for The Hubs. His recovery is, unfortunately, not going smoothly- partially due to not following doctor's orders, and partially due to drug interactions/reactions which are causing some very strange behaviours yes I am an American English speaker, but that spelling somehow makes more sense to me, sort of like catalogue rather than catalog.
As I mentioned in a previous post Melissa at Measi's Musings is hosting WIPocalypse 2013. Sign ups are open here. Just fun SAL. She's added monthly themes for 2013. I'm not sure how well I will be keeping up with the themes but I will give it a try.

Hey, don't feel bad. I've only put one card in the mail so far! And you have a good excuse - the Hubs. Crack that whip and make him follow the doc's orders.
Why are men such terrible patients!! Not much stitching here lately either.
Hugs to you and here's to a speedier recovery for your husband.
Ah, sorry to hear that your husband's not recovering as well as you'd hoped! I hope things go better. Give yourself a break with the Christmas stuff--as Jan said, you have a perfect excuse.
Sorry to read about your DH's bumpy recovery - I hope things improve. Take care.
Be sure to take time for yourself in all the hustle bustle. Hope HUbs feels better quickly and they get things sorted out. Hang in there!
